One girls DIY restoration of a cottage.

As far as possible we, me and MeWally, want an old age with low, or no, utility bills. We also happen to be stingey with money and will make as much eco stuff as we can and build it all into our tiny house.

So we'll have a comfortable home that's cheap to make and to run. RESULT!!

House Turn Around Saturday 6.11.10

We need to turn a house around very quickly as the tenants are due to move in, in a few weeks.

This old kitchen has to go. The current tenant has been here for many years, so it's all change.

EVERYTHING must go, except for that ugly boiler.

Soon all is calm. Time for a good old British  CUPPA.

And this is where we stashed those old units.

We had stacked all the new units in the living room,

which is a good place to work on building all the new cupboards.

Meanwhile, I get on with restoring the kitchen and entrance hall floors.

OH!!!! Hello,

BELLA!!!!! : )   TIME FOR TEA AND CAKE!

We press on, MeWally strips out all but the loo as I strip the floors.

Then we put legs on the first of the units and stand them in place.

We head home with a VERY LONG LIST of things to RETURN, PICK UP, BUY, DO.

NO PRESSURE : 0
