One girls DIY restoration of a cottage.

As far as possible we, me and MeWally, want an old age with low, or no, utility bills. We also happen to be stingey with money and will make as much eco stuff as we can and build it all into our tiny house.

So we'll have a comfortable home that's cheap to make and to run. RESULT!!

Last Day On Those Houses - Friday 19.3.11

At last I can bring you some shots of the finished jobs in the Turn Around House. I've signed it off.

The kitchen looks all of a piece .... at last!

This is one of the 2 cupboards fitted last week, it was the gap down the side that took time to fill neatly. What a tedious task that turned out to be, but worth the time spent IMO.

The other 'final cupboard' beside the boiler, was altered to be narrower than its' door. This was to allow a space for a water pipe that runs up the side of the boiler.

Once the door's shut you'd never know there's a gap - result.

The bathroom also looks really sharp - I'm really pleased with it, as are the house holders.

And lastly, the window area is glossed on the sill and emulsioned on the filler, ready for proper decoration.
